It’s that time of year again. How in the world did Christmas creep up on us so fast?! It’s the time of year where people really struggle to find gifts for friends and family. I like to think I’m easy to buy for, but I’ve been told otherwise. I just refuse to believe that anyone (including me) is that difficult – Indigo has something for everyone-I’m convinced of this. Anyway, in the spirit of being helpful, here’s a few ideas that may make last minute shopping just a little bit easier. Santa, are you listening?
Le Creuset Teapot available at The Bay, Bed Baths & Beyond, Amazon etc. I’m partial to Cherry, but it’s available in an assortment of colours. Package the gift up nicely with an assortment of flavours from David’s Tea.
The new Shinola flagship store opened this year on Queen Street West and it’s a beauty with tons of options. In addition to any of the watches (so beautiful!), I love the leather gloves – available for men & women.
Books for kids, coffee table books for adults. Head to Indigo and stock up on illustrated Harry Potter books, Robert Munsch and Dr.Seuss for the kiddies. Grab Grace for the fashion lover and Vanity Fair for the pop culture afficionado on your list.
I love a good blanket scarf. They are so popular right now and available at all price points from fast fashion to luxury goods and everything in between. I love Canadian brand Fraanklin, available at GotStyle, Good Neighbour and online.
I love giving packaged gifts so head to the LCBO, grab a beautiful bottle of Drake’s Virginia Black Whiskey, add some beautiful rocks glasses and you’ve got a great gift! Incidentally, Indigo has some amazing glasses (the store has everything!)
Technology is also a great gift. Fitbits, iPads, earbuds and cameras are always well-received. I’m really loving the look of the i.am+buttons headphones and the Instax Mini Camera.
